The timeline for Mike Trout’s return has advanced significantly. Following an unexpected early release from his first rehab assignment, the superstar for the Los Angeles Angels is eager to return to the field and rejoin the Major League Baseball.
Following an injury sustained on April 29 against the Boston Red Sox, Mike Trout was sidelined in May. He had surgery to repair a damaged miniscus in his left knee. He was supposed to make his Triple-A Salt Lake debut on Tuesday after spending months on the injured list, but he departed the game after just two innings.
He went back to Los Angeles the following day after experiencing a popping feeling while attempting to relax. Fortunately for Trout and the Angels, the MRI revealed no problems, and the soreness was just coming from his scar tissue rupturing.
Trout said, “It’s a huge relief for me.” “I just need to make sure it feels comfortable before I go back.” It’s a strange sensation, something I had never experienced, as scar tissue broke apart.
“It was annoying because I hadn’t felt anything for the week before that. I had no pain. Not a single ache or pain. I sensed something wasn’t quite right in the second inning,” Trout stated on Friday.
This time, Mike Trout might forego the rehab assignment.
The eleven-time All-Star intends to return to MLB directly if cleared. Before facing the Athletics on Friday, Mike Trout was originally expected to play with the Salt Lake Bees for at least three games.
Although the 32-year-old great outfielder’s return date is yet unknown, he is optimistic that it will happen soon.
“Any day could be it,” stated Trout. “I’ll be out there running when it feels right.” Today, I’m a little (sore). However, many of the individuals I spoke with who had this injury said that it takes a few days for the scar tissue to break up.Mike Trout was hitting.220 with 12 RBIs, including 10 home runs in 29 games, prior to his injury. Before his season was cut short by an injury, he was beginning to show promising potential.
