‘It was longer than I thought, but I feel 100%’ Mike Trout Talks About Getting Better Before First Rehab Game

On Tuesday, Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout started the first game of his rehab assignment with the Salt Lake Bees, who are Triple-A affiliates. He sustained a torn meniscus in his left knee on April 29 and hasn’t participated in a game since.

Trout had surgery on May 3 and has been working to rehabilitate ever since so he can return to the major leagues. When a Salt Lake Bees reporter questioned Trout about his knee prior to his first rehab outing, he stated:

It feels fantastic, and I can’t wait to get outside.

The eleventh The All-Star’s playing time has been impacted by injuries in the past few seasons. His wrist fracture in 2023 limited him to 83 games, while his torn calf muscle in 2021 kept him from playing in only 36 games.

Speaking about the most challenging aspect of his knee rehabilitation, Trout stated:
