In 2009, Jess and Mike Trout attended their prom night together after meeting in a Spanish class during high school. Trout established himself in baseball even as she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and went on to become a teacher. Before deciding to sign a contract with the East Carolina Pirates in 2009, he participated in a summer league.

The star slugger was drafted by the LA Angels with the 25th overall choice in the 2009 MLB draft, but fate had other plans for him. After making his major league debut in 2011, Trout rose to prominence as the baseball team’s representative in the Los Angeles area. He dated Jessica throughout his career after turning pro, and on June 28, 2016, they got engaged.

On December 9, 2017, the pair wed in a stunning ceremony in Allentown, New Jersey, after more than a year of planning. Speaking with Style Magazine about the event, Jessica yelled:

We felt as though we were doing what was meant to be done; it felt so natural. It was really emotional to walk down the aisle with my father and then hand myself over to my spouse.Jessica has been a huge influence on Mike Trout, and the right-handed hitter has been actively supported by Jess as he works to complete his rehabilitation and sign with the Angels by the end of July.

In order to return to the Angels’ active roster, Mike Trout will try to complete his rehab assignment as soon as possible.

Mike Trout has had surgery since suffering a meniscus ligament tear on his left knee in April. He appears to be ready to return to the active roster for the second half of the season, having spent more than two months in rehab.

Trout will take on live batters on Saturday and Sunday at the Angels spring training complex before facing the Salt Lake Bees, their triple-A affiliate, on Monday, according to MLB.com.
