The celebrities gathered in Arlington on Tuesday afternoon for the All-Star Red Carpet Show before tonight’s game.
Players had the opportunity to display their personalities and fashion sense as they walked the red carpet several hours ahead of the 2024 MLB All-Star Game at Globe Life Field.
“We’re focused on putting on a great show for the fans tonight. It’s a chance for my kids to enjoy some fantastic baseball, and we’re looking forward to the entire experience,” remarked Marcus Semien, the second baseman for the Texas Rangers.
Semien, along with his teammates shortstop Corey Seager and reliever Kirby Yates, is slated to participate in Tuesday night’s exhibition game.
On the red carpet, family and fashion took center stage.
“Trying to bring out that Hawaiian vibe, keeping it appealing. Tom from Gent’s Playbook nailed it,” Yates commented about his pregame attire.
Bruce Bochy, manager of the American League team for tonight’s game, reflected on the significance of hosting the All-Star game at their home ballpark: “It’s pretty amazing to have them here, and having the All-Star game coincide with a championship win makes it even more special.”
Bobby Witt Jr., a graduate of Colleyville Heritage High School, made his way down the red carpet after narrowly missing out on winning Monday night’s Home Run Derby.
“It’s awesome hearing the fans. It’s fun, said the Kansas City Royals star.
Non-Rangers stars like the Yankees Aaron Judge and Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani also made a walk down the red carpet as fans cheered and got autographs.
“This is cool. I’m very excited. I can’t wait to get in there tonight and run through the gate,” said Yates.
Semien said his wife dressed him, but he didn’t want to blind fans with his World Series ring.
