Despite catcher Logan O’Hoppe’s standout performance, which nearly mirrored the memorable nights of other surprising backstops against Texas like Shea Langeliers, Travis D’Arnaud, and Jake Rogers, O’Hoppe stands out as a legitimate everyday threat. 

His stellar batting tonight, going 3-for-4 with two home runs off future Hall of Famer Max Scherzer, kept the game close and challenged the Rangers’ early lead.

Initially leading 4-1 after the third inning, Texas faced pressure as the Angels tied the game against Scherzer, making the victory uncertain until Adolis Garcia’s crucial solo home run in the eighth inning secured the win. 

Despite the tense moments, Texas ultimately extended their winning streak to five games, demonstrating resilience against a determined Angels’ effort.
