Mookie Betts finds it difficult to sit out games, particularly when he’s been playing so well. Due to a left hand fracture sustained during last month’s Kansas City Royals game, he is on injured leave with no set date for his return.
But rather than crumbling, the Dodger has discovered a bright spot in his circumstances. Currently working part-time as a Dodgers analyst, Betts frequently shares behind-the-scenes information along with his observations on games.
Betts revealed during a Dodgers-Brewers game that he is now enjoying holidays with his kids and spending more time with his family because of his injuries. He has never done this throughout the summer previously.
Betts stated, “I really have gotten to spend a lot more time with my kids, which is the one cool thing about this whole IL situation.” I’ve never had the chance to spend July 4th watching fireworks with my kids. That was really, really awesome, then.
“I haven’t actually spent any time in the pool throughout the day. Swim with Kynlee, Mookie Betts’ kid, and spend time with her. I’m still not able to get up in the morning and go hit pickleball with my spouse. I mean, I haven’t had the opportunity to do these things, so now I am, and it’s summers instead of winter. It’s fortunate.
Mookie Betts had a stat line of.304/.405/.488 prior to his injury and was maintaining an OPS of.892 through 72 games. It was his eighth invitation to an All-Star game.
Thus, in this year’s Midseason Classic, Betts joined fellow Dodgers Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, Teoscar Hernandez, and Tyler Glasnow in representing the best team in the NL West.
Brianna, Mookie Betts’ spouse, was enamored with her husband’s recent part-time work demeanor.
The charm of Mookie Betts extends beyond his on-field persona. The Dodgers player made the decision to provide a brief service to his fans with his new broadcasting job while he healed from his injuries.
Commentator Betts’ spouse, Brianna Betts, was the first to show off her affections for him. She posted a charming caption on Instagram showcasing her husband’s personality from his part-time job:
“Hey there, commenter!”
After dating since middle school, Mookie and Brianna got married in 2021. This came after his productive time with the Dodgers, where he won the 2020 World Series.
Their lovely, content family was completed by the arrival of their son, Kaj Lynn Betts, in April of last year, and their daughter, Kynlee Betts, in 2018.
