‘Joe couldn’t wait to spend time with his girl’ Ashley, the spouse of Joe Kelly, steals the show with their cute “Daddy-Blakey date” at Dodgers Clubhouse.

On Sunday, Ashley Parks, the wife of Dodgers bullpen pitcher Joe Kelly, posted some adorable father-daughter moments. Since May, when Kelly last pitched in the league, he has been on the injured list for about two months.

Due to a right posterior shoulder issue, the experienced relief pitcher was initially placed on a 15-day IL; nevertheless, he has since struggled to finish his rehabilitation as soon as possible. Joe took some time out of his hectic campaign schedule to spend some quality time with his daughter in the LAD Clubhouse. Ashley captioned the video when she posted it to Instagram.

It was an extremely special “Daddy-Blakey Date” at the Dodgers Clubhouse. This company never fails to demonstrate to the families why they are the greatest in the industry. We are grateful to @dodgers for giving our family these priceless memories.

Joe was eager to show his girlfriend his workplace and spend time with her. All the way through, Blake had a big smile on his face. This. Was. All of it! “#DodgersDaddyDaughterDay #GirlDad”

Soon after they first met on the campus of the University of California, Riverside, Joe and Ashley began dating. She is Derek Parks’ daughter, the former backstop for the Minnesota Twins. In addition to her sociology, visual culture, and film majors, she played D1 soccer for UCR.

In November 2013, the pair exchanged vows in a stunning wedding. The four children of the marriage are Blake, Crue, Kai, and Knox. Kai, who was born last year, is the youngest and Knox is the oldest.

The whole family attends most of Joe’s gamedays and is very supportive of his efforts on the diamond. The Kellys witnessed Knox toss the ceremonial pitch at Dodger Stadium in June as well.

Inside Dodger Stadium, Joe Kelly’s wife Ashley captured precious family memories.

Ashley posted a picture of their family of six enjoying the warm welcome from the Dodgers fans on Instagram, with the oldest child tossing the first pitch to father Joe Kelly. Her post’s caption read:

“It was really a weird event for our family to watch our OG throw out the first ball while surrounded by Dodgers fans wearing Kelly 99 jerseys. We will always be appreciative of the love.

Joe Kelly is still working on his rehab starts with single-A Rancho Cucamonga in the MiLB, so he won’t be returning to the LAD bullpen before the MLB All-Star break.
