Angels News: Mike Trout discloses his anticipated return date following knee surgery

The ace center fielder for the Los Angeles Angels, Mike Trout, has given a rough timetable for his comeback to the field. On May 3, Trout had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, which had kept him out of action since April 29.His new goal is to return to work by the end of July.

Trout responded, “Oh yeah for sure, I’m going to be back by then.”

Trout reported being mainly pain-free, though he has been experiencing some sporadic soreness. He’s still not started running, but he’s optimistic about his recuperation. The star player for the Angels has just once since 2020 played more than 100 games due to injury struggles in recent years. If he doesn’t return by July 10 and doesn’t sustain any injuries the remainder of the season, he will miss that mark once more this season.

Trout is motivated to return to the field and help his team despite the difficulties. Prior to his injury, he was leading the league in home runs in the first month of the season with ten. The Angels could benefit greatly from his comeback as they play out the rest of the season.

“I’m happy where I’m at right now and I feel really good ramping this up,” said Trout, who entered the season leading baseball with ten home runs. “To be honest, not feeling anything in the knee has been a relief.

I occasionally have soreness. I get a little sore if I push myself too hard, but nothing serious.”
