On Tuesday night, Jack Leiter delivered the finest performance of his professional career thus far. The 2021 second overall draft pick dazzled for Triple-A Round Rock against Sacramento, tossing seven scoreless innings. 

Remarkably, Leiter didn’t issue a single walk and threw an impressive 71 of his 101 pitches for strikes. This outing marked the first time in 54 professional starts that he completed seven innings and also the first instance he exceeded 100 pitches in a game. Furthermore, it represented the initial 100-pitch outing by any Rangers minor leaguer this season.all.
