Featured in the popular Netflix series Schitt’s Creek, starring Eugene Levy and his son Daniel Levy, the motel served as the backdrop for the story of the once-wealthy Rose family, who found themselves living in the dilapidated establishment after losing their fortune. In real life, the Rosebud Motel was recently listed for sale by Jesse Tipping, who also serves as the president of the Athlete Institute Basketball Academy and Orangeville Prep.
Tipping acquired the motel in 2011 with the intention of accommodating recruits for what would eventually become Canada’s most successful prep school basketball program.
Murray resided there for a span of two years before embarking on his collegiate journey at Kentucky University, a period during which Miami Heat training camp invitee Kyle Alexander also called the motel home.
