Texas Rangers offense explodes, Evan Carter extends hit streak to five games as Texas tops Kansas City

Nathaniel Lowe had four hits and two RBIs, and the Texas Rangers beat the Kansas City Royals 15-4 on Saturday night.

Lowe went 4-for-6 one night after going hitless in four at-bats in Texas’ 7-1 loss. It was his first four-hit game since last July 14.

“I guess it was just my turn in the grand pendulum of the swing of baseball,” Lowe said. “It was great to have so many guys contribute. We got smoked last night, so it was good to come back tonight.”Có thể là hình ảnh về 1 người và văn bản cho biết 'TCHOCTAW CASINOS CASINOS&RESORTS & RESORTS T SFER TEXA RANGERSW 15 T Kc 4 BTRAIGH UP TEXAS'

Adolis García, Evan Carter (Elizabethton) and Travis Jankowski also drove in two runs each. Carter scored on a wild pitch after a two-run triple in the third inning. Garcia extended his hitting streak to six games, and Carter had two hits to extend his hit streak to five games.

The Texas Rangers and the host Kansas City Royals will clash Sunday afternoon in the decisive game of their three-game series. Following two consecutive losses where they only managed to score one run combined, the Rangers bounced back with a commanding 15-4 victory on Saturday, marking season highs in both runs and hits (17). Có thể là hình ảnh về 1 người và văn bản cho biết 'T TEXAS'

Texas manager Bruce Bochy praised his team’s resilience, stating, “Our guys did a great job of bouncing back after a tough night. It’s all about being resilient in this game.” Ten Rangers contributed at least one hit in the win, a stark contrast to their 7-1 loss in the series opener. Bochy expressed satisfaction with the team effort, remarking, “It’s good to see everybody do something tonight to help the cause. You get shut down the night before and the guys came out and put together great at-bats. It was good for all of them, for their confidence.” Nathaniel Lowe stood out with four hits and two RBIs, including a crucial two-out bases-loaded single in the fourth inning that ended Royals starter Michael Wacha’s outing. Có thể là hình ảnh về 1 người và văn bản

Reflecting on his performance, Lowe highlighted his mental fortitude, stating, “Convincing myself that he can’t beat me…at no point can you give in.” Lowe also emphasized the team’s goal of revitalizing its offense, stating, “This offense (is) regaining its identity this year. If we’re going to score 15 without hitting the ball out of the yard, then that’s the plan we’ll have to go with.” Right-hander Jon Gray (1-1, 2.48 ERA) will start for Texas, while Kansas City recalls Daniel Lynch IV from Triple-A Omaha for his first start of the season and his debut against the Rangers.

Gray has been consistent, allowing no more than one earned run in each of his last five starts and boasting a 1-1 record with a 1.98 ERA in two starts against the Royals. Có thể là hình ảnh về 1 người và văn bản

Royals’ right-hander Alec Marsh, who has been sidelined since April 24 due to a pitching elbow injury, is nearing a return and will make a rehab start for Triple-A Omaha on Sunday. Although Marsh has progressed well, the Royals remain cautious, with manager Matt Quatraro emphasizing the importance of monitoring his recovery closely. Marsh himself expressed optimism, stating, “All is good…just take it day by day.”
