Corey Seager, the reigning World Series MVP and shortstop for the Texas Rangers, first encountered his wife, Madisyn Seager, in 2015. Nearly four years later, in December 2019, he proposed to Maddy while playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the MLB. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic in 2020, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones.
Just a month prior, Corey had secured his inaugural World Series title and earned his first Fall Classic MVP honor with the Dodgers in late October 2020. Three years later, he clinched his second World Series championship and second Fall Classic MVP title in 2023, this time with the Texas Rangers.
Corey’s outstanding performance throughout the 2023 MLB season also earned him another Silver Slugger award, which he was presented with ahead of game 2 against the Oakland A’s at Globe Life Field on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
Madisyn Seager is regularly seen cheering on her husband during Rangers home games, just as she did when he played for the LA Dodgers. The couple, who have been together since high school, initially planned for a destination wedding, but due to the COVID pandemic, they opted for a safe and lovely wedding celebration in Murfreesboro, near Nashville, Tennessee.
The Texas Rangers held the championship ring ceremony for their 2023 World Series-winning team on March 30, prior to their regular season matchup against the Chicago Cubs. Madisyn Seager was in attendance at Globe Life Field, filled with joy as she watched her husband, Corey Seager, and his teammates receive their 2023 Fall Classic championship rings. Nearly 60 members of the championship-winning organization were presented with stunning rings adorned with precious gemstones. Each ring showcased the Texas Rangers’ regular season and postseason records, while the players’ rings also highlighted their individual achievements throughout the season.
