The Japanese star Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Los Angeles Dodgers will start Game 2 of a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field for the second time this season.
The RHP pitcher was seen stepping out of his black SUV on Saturday before his home opener against LA at Dodger Stadium. He was dressed in a basic T-shirt and dark grey pants. But what really drew attention from the public was his chic Chanel huge boy handbag, which retails for an estimated $7,300.

The fashionable and fashionable bag that Yamamoto brought with him when he took the mound for the first time in his career inside Dodger Stadium was quickly noticed by MLB fans.
While some fans praised Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s sense of style, others made fun of his handbag, saying it resembled a woman’s purse. In the comment area, though, the former viewpoint predominated.

This past offseason, Yoshinobu Yamamoto signed the largest contract ever received by an MLB pitcher—$325 million spread over 12 years—with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
After making an impression in the NPB with the Orix Buffaloes, where he won three Eiji Sawamura awards (the MLB equivalent of the Cy Young Award) and a Japan Series, Yamamoto decided to make the switch.

On Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals, Yoshinobu Yamamoto took the mound for the first time ever at home in Los Angeles and for the second time in the Dodger Blue.
He got taken to the cleaners in his first game against the San Diego Padres in the Seoul Series. In his debut major league appearance, he pitched just one inning, giving up four hits and five earned runs while taking the loss.
He faced the mound inside Dodger Stadium for the first time on Saturday. Although LA lost the game 6-5, Yamamoto’s five innings of shutout ball and two hits allowed him to give up zero runs while striking out five batters were impressive to watch.
Yamamoto is showing indications of having a significant influence for the LA Dodgers in 2024, which will fully justify his enormous deal, despite a challenging beginning to his MLB career.
