The 28-year-old pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers and his wife Elizabeth welcomed their first child on Wednesday, the couple revealed on Instagram. Originally scheduled to come in early June was the couple’s newborn son.
According to the joint announcement, son Beau Gray Phillips was born on Thursday, April 20 at 11:33 p.m. and weighed 6 lbs., 8 oz.
Greetings from around the globe, Beau Gray Phillips! Our pride, happiness, and entire being! 🤍🤍🤍 6 pounds 8 ounces, born April 20, 2023 @ 11:33 p.m.,” the couple captioned the photo.
“Our adorable newborn boy, who made the decision to come home with us a little early, is receiving extra care in the NICU. Everyone is doing fine. the pair parted with. We had no idea that love like this could exist. We are incredibly grateful and ecstatic about our adorable child.”
The pair, who was married in November 2020, shared a photo from their photo shoot in December along with the wonderful news that they were expecting a child.
They posted the pictures with the message, “Our biggest blessing – sweet Baby Phillips joining the crew in 2023!!! 🥹.”
Elizabeth posted some behind-the-scenes pictures of the couple enjoying the opening week of baseball season a week before they welcomed their baby boy.
She posted pictures of herself smiling and sporting several Dodgers-themed ensembles, writing, “Opening Day/week fun!
