LeBron James said on Sunday how frustrated he was with the basketball media, which inspired him to start his newest project, the “Mind the Game” podcast, with NBA player-turned-analyst JJ Redick.

“I felt like we were drifting away from the fundamental aspects of basketball and its true essence,” LeBron said.

“Our audience deserves a deeper insight into the essence of basketball, akin to how I fell in love with the sport,” LeBron said.
“Teaming up with JJ, who shares a similar passion and intellect for the game, felt like the perfect opportunity.”
Launching their podcast, LeBron highlighted that it would be of interest to “everyone who truly loves our beautiful game.”
