Like, I can help you.’ Instead, there was no dialogue. … I just accepted it.

According to Aaron Boone, manager of the Yankees, there is no set duration for how long Cole will be out.

After Wednesday’s 9-4 loss to Boston, Boone stated, “I understand it’s Gerrit Cole and it’s a big story, but I’m not going to jump to a conclusion or speculate.” I get that. “We´re still in the gathering of information, and then everyone´s got to weigh in to determine what exactly we have.”

As the head club physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, ElAttrache knows all there is to know about elbows.

Injured Yankees ace pitcher Gerrit Cole expected to miss 1 to 2 months - UPI.com

For the past six consecutive regular seasons, AL Cy Young Award winner Cole has started 30 games or more. Tuesday he underwent X-rays and a CT scan in addition to Monday’s MRI.

In spring training starts, the 33-year-old Cole’s pitch count was lower than that of other members of the rotation.”This has been my life’s work,” Boone remarked. Therefore, you make an effort, despite how ridiculous it may sound, to not jump to conclusions, particularly when you are ignorant of anything. Obviously, you need to be agile and able to adapt to new situations, so you should be prepared to bounce, pivot, and, most importantly, maintain the athletic position at all times. However, until I have a better understanding of the situation, I also do my best to hold off.

Yankees' Gerrit Cole likely to miss start of season with right elbow issue: report | Fox News

Boone confirmed that the second game of the season at Houston will be started by Carlos Rodón, who threw four innings and gave up one run against the Red Sox. According to Boone, talks are still in the early stages regarding Marcus Stroman as a possible replacement for Cole in the opening game on March 28.

Cole is set to earn $36 million per year as he begins the fifth season of a nine-year deal worth $324 million. After the season, he can choose to become a free agent, but the Yankees can prevent that by adding a guaranteed $36 million contract for 2029, thus his opt-out is null and invalid.

On Monday, center fielder Aaron Judge underwent an MRI of his abdomen. He is anticipated to return to the lineup on Saturday.

The 31-year-old Judge has skipped on-field batting practice for the past several days due to discomfort he began experiencing in his abdomen during the follow-through of his swing a little over a week ago. He is planning to go back in the lineup this week after sitting out his previous two at-bats on Sunday.

On Wednesday, he underwent treatment and performed indoor work.

“Just trying to make sure this doesn´t turn into something,” stated Boone. To you, that’s the most important thing. Now, given the current state of the calendar, let’s make the most of it.

Following his June 3 collision with the right-field fence at Dodger Stadium, which resulted in a ripped ligament in his right big toe, Judge began his offseason hitting program in November. He was out for 42 games last season.
