Freddie Freeman, a star with the Dodgers, brought his family to see a Harlem Globetrotters game

The Dodgers’ strength is supported by three-time silver slugger Freddie Freeman. Dodgers fans continue to rely on their first baseman to provide offense, despite the team’s high-profile offseason additions.

The Dodgers are preparing to begin their season in South Korea next week, so Freeman opted to spend time with his family. Freeman took Charlie, his son, to see the Harlem Globetrotters, a world-renowned ballet troupe, with his wife Chelsea.

I want to express my gratitude to the Harlem Globe Trotters for hosting us. Charlie is absolutely smitten. – Chelsea Freeman

Just a short distance from Camelback Ranch, where the Los Angeles Dodgers hold their spring training, was the Tempe, Arizona facility, Mountain America Stadium.

In addition to meeting several players and going behind the scenes, the family got to play with the team’s mascot, the Globe-Trotter.

Charlie, one of three sons born to Chelsea and Freddie after their 2014 marriage, was in attendance at the game.

After the 2021 World Series victory, longtime Atlanta Braves player Matt Freeman decided to leave the club. Disagreements with front office staff, especially general manager Alex Anthopoulos, led to Freddie Freeman’s departure from the Braves. The Dodgers and him signed a six-year, $162 million deal.
The Dodgers, led by Freddie Freeman, will face the San Diego Padres in South Korea for the first two games of the season.

The 2024 Dodgers will have Freddie Freeman as their cornerstone.

Fresh faces like Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Teoscar Hernandez, and Shohei Ohtani will be joining Freeman on the field this season. Known for his exceptional leadership skills, Freeman has already begun to devise methods. He discussed his intention to put Ohtani in scoring position with SportsNet LA:

No matter what, I’ll accept it. I will be the one to take the pitch whenever he leaves. I told him, “No, go for it,” in response to his question about whether or not Ohtani should run (at a time when he would rather he not). Put him in a position to score for me. He should take 100, right?
