Mike Trout is aware of the whispers going around him regarding a trade. Many fans and analysts think he should try to ask for a trade and end up on a winning club because his squad consistently fails to surround him with talent. Since Trout has just visited in October, nobody has truly seen what he is capable of. But that’s not on the slugger’s mind.
Trout stated through The Athletic:
It gives me more energy. When we succeed here, I will feel more satisfied overall than if I went somewhere else. Thus, people are free to sаy anything they want when I hear things like, “Trout needs to get traded,” or “He’s happy to be there.” One thing is all that’s on my mind. That is an attempt to prevail in this situation.
The superstar of the Los Angeles Angels isn’t requesting a move to another team or better circumstances. He wants to become better and get back to being MVP form in order to improve the situation. In addition, he wants the front office to take some action to enhance the group that surrounds him.
Recently, he acknowledged that, although he doesn’t think a trade would be attractive right now, there might be a moment in the future. The multi-time MVP should now give the squad he now plays for his utmost effort.
Mike Trout is unlikely to return to the postseason.
The Angels never qualified for the postseason, despite having Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. The Angels are sitting much more empty-handed than they were before with Ohtani leaving for better opportunities elsewhere in town.
According to most estimates, they will finish fourth in the division, only behind the Oakland Athletics. It’s difficult to imagine them overtaking the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, and Seattle Mariners until things drastically alter.
Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery are the two remaining impact free agents, but it’s unclear if LA is interested in either of them. It’s also unclear how much this team could be improved for the season by one or even two excellent pitchers.
