In a 7-4 exhibition win over the Colorado Rockies at Camelback Ranch on Sunday, Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman combined for seven hits, five runs, and four RBIs, giving fans a taste of the Dodgers’ potential firepower at the top of the hitting order.

 

Manager Dave Rоberts stated, “When yоu lооk at the tоp three [batters], it’s оbviоusly relentless and stressful.” Any оne оf them guys cоuld hurt yоu with a single blоw. It was quite evident hоw they kind оf electrified оur club tоday.

Betts, the leadoff hitter for the Dodgers and the 2018 American League most valuable player for the Boston Red Sox, doubled to left and scored in the second inning, then singled to center to score a run in the third.

Ohtani, who was the AL MVP for the Angels in 2021 and 2023, left the game after hitting an RBI single to right field in the first inning, an RBI triple off the top of the center-field wall in the third, and an RBI single to right in the third. Ohtani has now appeared in seven consecutive Cactus League plate appearances, reaching base.
