“Might have just ended your MLB dreams” – Trevor Bauer Faces Fan Backlash as Barstool Podcaster Triumphs at the Plate

Trevor Bauer, a free agent, last appeared in a major league game while playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2021. His major league career has been impacted by off-field scandals that have dogged him since then. He has, nevertheless, showed a lot of promise this offseason as he prepares to return to the major league mound.

Bauer recently took on Marty Mush from the Barstool podcast in a live BP session.

Following the entertaining session, in which the podcaster took some swings from Bauer, some fans made fun of the former Cy Young winner’s pitching:

“The fact that you gave up a hit to that thing might have just ended your MLB dreams,” a fan commented.

“He wouldn’t have come into contact with anything in the zone. Even the off-speed stuff was essentially medium or up, according to another user.

Another fan continued, stating that he will not be signed anytime soon:

“Yeah no one signing this”

Trevor Bauer acknowledges his “recklessness” and wants to return to the major leagues.

Following a three-year hiatus from the major league mound, Bauer has been introspecting, seeking restitution, and trying to get teams to consider signing him.

On FOX News, Bauer claimed, “I agreed to do things I shouldn’t have done.” It was careless. Many folks suffered along the road. It was extremely difficult for the Dodgers, Major League Baseball, my teammates, friends, family, and other people who were close to me. I’ve thus given that a lot of thought and changed a lot in my life to deal with it.

“I wish I could play baseball. Playing baseball in the United States is, after all, my dream,” stated Bauer. “I want to compete at the greatest level possible. In addition, I have a strong desire to help others, which is beneficial to the game. Regretfully, I believe I’ve done a lot of harm in the first half of my career, and I would welcome another chance to improve.

Since then, Trevor Bauer has pitched in the 2023 season for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. He pitched 130.2 innings, going 10-4 with a 2.76 ERA and 130 strikeouts. But this season, not much has been happening with Bauer. As spring training has already begun, he may have to choose to miss the season this year.
