Aaron Hicks, a free agent outfielder, has finalized a deal with the Los Angeles Angels.
The former star of the New York Yankees will continue to receive compensation from his previous team and will also earn $740,000 from Los Angeles in 2024, according to MLB insider Jeff Fletcher.

Though Aaron Hicks is still divisive among New York Yankees supporters, he will give the Los Angeles Angels a seasoned outfielder who had a successful season after joining the Baltimore Orioles.
Given his age of 34, it’s unclear how much left in him, but his performance in the second half of the 2023 season is encouraging for Los Angeles.
Hicks struggled to have much of an influence on the New York Yankees from 2019 to 2023, which resulted in his release the previous year. Hicks will allegedly be owed $8.76 million by New York in 2024, $9.5 million in 2025, and $1 million in 2026 as compensation for the buyout.

After then, the Baltimore Orioles signed Hicks. The veteran outfielder partially restored his value with Baltimore. He had a.275 batting average, seven home runs, 31 RBIs, and six stolen bases in 65 games.
