Throughout his MLB career, Trevor Bauer has been one of the most divisive players. The former National League Cy Young Award winner has gained notoriety for his controversial on- and off-field actions and his outspoken demeanor.
Trevor Bauer recently acknowledged that he had made a number of mistakes in his career and expressed the hope that the adjustments he had made to his life would help him be given another opportunity to play in Major League Baseball. Although Bauer shown his ability to pitch at a high level in Japan the previous season, a number of strikes against him could prevent him from playing in the Major League Baseball.

One of those instances occurred in 2020 when Rob Manfred was called out by the controversial pitcher. In addition to the fact that some teams may find the current accusations of sexual assault offensive, Bauer may find it more difficult to get forgiveness because of his previous run-ins with the MLB Commissioner if he really wants to rejoin the league.
Bauer blasted Commissioner Rob Manfred for a variety of things in a caustic video, including the way the league promotes its players.
In the video, Bauer stated, “It’s the least marketable because you make stupid decisions about how you market the players.”

The former Cincinnati Reds player criticized Manfred and the league for several things they believed the league was doing incorrectly. In addition to his problems with marketing and the media at the time, one of Bauer’s pet peeves was the inclusion of extra Wild Card teams in the postseason.
In order to strengthen the league’s marketing, Trevor Bauer stated that he was willing to collaborate with Rob Manfred.
The former Los Angeles Dodgers player did express interest in meeting with Commissioner Rob Manfred, even though the bulk of the video was critical of both the MLB marketing staff and Rob Manfred.
Trevor Bauer believed that the MLB needed to rethink both its approach to media and social media in general. The divisive pitcher contrasted the quantity of Mike Trout highlights with the quantity of Steph Curry highlights. In order to connect with younger generations, Bauer believed that the MLB needed to release as much content as possible.
