“Gotta love being a girl dad,” Johnny Damon, a former Major League Baseball player, commented.

Sister Sharlee Jeter jumped in, saying, “Best girl dad ever!!!”

Hannah Davis Jeter, the five-time World Series champion’s wife of seven years, and the four children they have together are Kaius Green, an 8-month-old son, River Rose, a 21-month-old daughter, Story Grey, who will turn five later this month, and Bella Raine, a 6-and-a-half-year-old.

After he and his family of six settled into their new normal, Derek spoke with PEOPLE and revealed that he and his crew spent the summer bonding and getting to know each other.

This was the first journey to Cooperstown that we made with all of our children. The four of them were brought there by her, he chuckled. That was our inaugural journey as a group. We sent our eldest daughters to cover a London game this summer because I’m working with Fox Sports.

Despite the “controlled chaos” of parenting four children, the family takes great satisfaction in maintaining an optimistic оutlооk and never letting the good times stop.

You might sаy it’s controlled chaos, but I’m not sure. It is simply disorderly. Obviously, Derek and his wife adore spending a lot of time with their children, and they also make an effort to enjoy quality time together, as Derek explained to PEOPLE. Attempting to carve out some personal time is another important consideration. That’s the way I see you maintaining your sanity. To be honest, I’m not sure there is a simple solution. It’s likely that everyone’s experience will be unique.

“We obviously do a lot with our kids and that’s sort of the center of our lives,” Hannah added, agreeing. Therefore, it is pleasant to take a short break from that every so often. That way, you’ll be able to fully enjoy it, no matter how difficult things get.
