Not everyone seems to be happy about the massive amount of money the Los Angeles Dodgers spent on reinforcements.
Pitcher Logan Webb of the San Francisco Giants talked on the Dodgers trading for Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Shohei Ohtani, according to Al Bat.
During the offseason, I had my fair share of mood swings. These me🚗 should be avoided at all costs. There’s something about them that you find unpleasant. “I can’t give you an explanation,” Webb said.
Could someone please tell me the Dodgers’ offseason spending total?
The 27-year-old starter said that a number of Giants players had texted him to express their dissatisfaction of the Dodgers’ billion-dollar summer spending.
Everyone sent each other texts. For us, it was uncomfortable. “We just need to play our game and give it our all to compete and win,” he said, emphasizing that now is the time to address it.
Logan Webb revealed the details in an interview with San Francisco radio station KNBR.
The Dodgers’ reinforcements surpass one billion
When the Dodgers signed Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani, two of Japan’s most valuable free agents, they became the first sports team to spend more than a billion dollars on reinforcements. They have the players to close gaps, have strength in the outfield and at the plate, and maybe contend for the World Series the next season now that they’re back on track.
Despite Ohtani signing a 700 million dollar contract for ten seasons, the Japanese agreed to postpone 680 million dollars.
By doing this, he guaranteed the organization would have the funds necessary to continue bringing in players like as Teoscar Hernandez (a right-handed power bat who can assist manager Dave Roberts in countering left-handed pitchers) and others such as Tyler Glasnow, Manuel Margot, and Yamamoto.
