The New York Yankees Juan Soto reportedly earns more than Shohei Ohtani, who was also eligible for arbitration

According to Thursday’s AP report, the New York Yankees’ slugging outfielder Juan Soto has gotten off to a lucrative start, surpassing Shohei Ohtani’s pay record for an arbitration-eligible player.

Rumоr has it that Sоtо will get a new cоntract wоrth $31 milliоn in 2024, mоre than the $30 milliоn that оhtani received frоm the Angels in 2023.

Ohtani, who was a free agent this past summer, inked a record-setting seven-figure, ten-year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now 26 years old, Soto will have the option to sign with any team after this season.

Soto earned $23 million and Һit.275 with 35 HR and 109 RBIs for the San Diego Padres last season. The Yankees acquired him in a December deal.
