Shohei Ohtani presents Dodgers teammate Joe Kelly’s wife with a Porsche after Kelly retired his No. 17 jersey

Shohei Ohtani, a designated hitter and pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, surprised Joe Kelly’s wife with a shiny new Porsche as a token of his thanks.

The ostentatious present was in response to Ashley Kelly’s #Ohtake17 social media campaign, which went viral and encouraged the two-time AL MVP to join her husband’s club.

As it was being delivered to the Kelly residence, the Dodgers shared a video of the debut of her new vehicle on X Saturday.

Yes, it is yours. In the video, she is informed that Shohei wаnted to give her a Porsche as a gift, but she reacts with and covers her mouth.

Ashley Kelly rechristened her 7-month-old son ShoKai in tribute to Ohtani’s online campaigning before he signed with the team.

On December 11, the Dodgers and the Japanese athlete inked a record-breаking 10-year, $700 million contract.

According to MLB.com, Joe Kelly has also re-upped with the Major League Baseball club, this time for a one-year contract for $8 million.

Ohtani was offered every piece of Dodgers apparel and merchandise they possessed that bore the No. 17 by the reliever’s wife as part of their efforts.

She lists all the things she gave Ohtani in return for his Dodgers commitment in a social media post from December 8. “Your mom is already prepared, so there’s no problem there,” Ashley Kelly proudly displayed a No. 17 Dodgers jersey bearing the insignia “Mama” as she made her statement.

Kelly uploaded a new video after Ohtani joined her husband’s team in which she animatedly threw the family’s No. 17 clothing onto their holiday-themed front lawn while singing Wham’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.”

According to CNN affiliate KABC, Ohtani had sported the No. 17 when playing for the Los Angeles Angels for a period of six years.
