In November 2021, Matt Olson, the first baseman for the Atlanta Braves, tied the knot with his longtime partner, Nicole Olson.

Nicole Olson, born on June 18, 1995, in Johns Creek, Georgia, has deep roots in her hometown. Her father, Martin, serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Gain Servicing and Cherokee Funding in Atlanta.

Nicole’s educational journey took her through Johns Creek High School until 2013. In 2015, she expanded her horizons with the Globis Study Abroad program in Verona, Italy, focusing on global and international studies. Subsequently, Nicole pursued her BBA at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, completing her degree in 2017.

While still a student, Nicole gained professional experience as an intern in CBRE’s advisory and transactional services. Currently, she holds the position of retail tenant advisor/associate at Jones Lang LaSalle, a global provider of commercial real estate services.

In the realm of sports, her husband, Matt Olson, secured a substantial eight-year, $168 million contract with the Atlanta Braves ahead of the 2022 season, signifying a significant financial commitment from the team. The contract includes an annual salary of $22 million from 2024 to 2029, a noteworthy figure compared to Freddie Freeman, who earned the same amount in his final two seasons at the age of 33. Additionally, Olson’s contract features a $20 million club option for 2030, without a buyout, extending into his 36th year.
