The offseason for the Los Angeles Dodgers is beyond anything fans could have imagined. After the Big Kahuna, Shohei Ohtani signed a massive seven-figure deal worth seven hundred million dollars for ten years.
In 2023, following a great start to 2021 and a cut short by ιnjury in 2022, Tyler Glasnow finally rediscovered his pitching groove, thanks to a deal that the front staff pulled off after signing the two-time AL MVP. Glasnow extended his contract by five years and $136.5 million immediately following the deal.
The Dodgers were able to get Tyler Glasnow with Shohei Ohtani’s facilitation.
The right-handed pitcher discussed the decision to extend with the team earlier this week, and he acknowledged that Ohtani played a significant role in it.
It was a major factor in my decision to root for the Dodgers. Incredibly cool. He recently expressed his desire for me to join the squad, saying that he believes I can contribute to the pitching staff and that he hopes to Һit home runs for me the next year. All I want is to hear his thoughts and learn from him. Not only is he perhaps one of the greatest baseball players of all time, but he also seems like a really nice guy. I would want to play alongside that man.
Even though they’ve never shared a dugout, Glasnow is already gushing about Ohtani, the two-way superstar. It’s not often that teammates compliment each other. What this means is that Ohtani is highly esteemed by Glasnow and a lot of his fellow MLB players.
Along with Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Max Muncy, and others, Ohtani will be hitting home runs and supporting Glasnow in 2024.
