Five Braves Earn All-MLB Honors Following a Remarkable 104-Win Season

Ronald Acuña Jr., Austin Riley, and Spencer Strider stand out among the five Braves named to this year’s All-MLB Team.

Acuña, Riley, and Strider secured First Team selections in their respective positions, while Matt Olson and Ozzie Albies received Second Team nods. The announcement took place on Saturday night during MLB Network’s All-MLB Team Show, presented by MGM Rewards.

The Braves’ strong representation comes as no surprise after their outstanding MLB-best season with 104 wins. Fan voting played a significant role in the selection process, contributing 50%, while the remaining 50% came from a distinguished panel of media members, broadcasters, former players, and other officials within the baseball community. Votes were based on regular-season performance.

Acuña delivered a standout season, making history as the first player to achieve 40-plus home runs and 70-plus stolen bases in a single season. His remarkable accomplishments earned him his first NL MVP Award, boasting a .337 batting average, 41 home runs, 217 hits, 80 extra-base hits, 106 RBIs, 149 runs, a 1.012 OPS, and 84 strikeouts.

He joined the elite company of Lou Gehrig (1927), Chuck Klein (’30), and Joe DiMaggio (’37) as one of the few players to achieve at least .335 batting average, 40 home runs, 215 hits, 80 extra-base hits, 100 RBIs, 145 runs, and a 1.000 OPS with fewer than 90 strikeouts.

Mookie Betts (Dodgers) and Corbin Carroll (D-backs) joined Acuña as First Team outfielders, while Aaron Judge (Yankees), Adolis García (Rangers), and Kyle Tucker (Astros) secured Second Team outfielder honors. This marks Acuña’s first career First Team selection, having previously earned Second Team honors in 2019 and 2020.
