The Heat are now the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference after an impressive 15-11 record in their first 26 games.
They have a 7-5 record in their previous 12 games played at home in Miami, while they are 5-5 in their last 10 games overall.
The Heat will welcome Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night for their next game against the Bulls.
Butler has been with the Heat for five seasons, and during his tenure there, they have advanced to the NBA Finals twice.
He has more NBA experience than only the Heat; he has previously played for the Bulls, the Sixers, and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Along with shooting 46.7% from the field and 32.4% from outside the arc, his career statistics read as follows: 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.
