LOS ANGELES In an interview, Clayton Kershaw disclosed that he is doing well following his most recent shoulder surgery and that he has not yet decided on his next contract. After agreeing to one-year contracts with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the previous two seasons, the three-time Cy Young Award winner is now a free agent. Kershaw expressed his joy at the outcome of the surgery and his expectation of being pain-free when he throws a ball.
Although Kershaw was previously connected to the Texas Rangers, he eventually re-signed with the Dodgers in those instances. But he has never put winning ahead of money and has never used the Rangers as leverage against the Dodgers. The Rangers’ recent World Series victory and the realization of Chris Young’s big-picture dream make it more likely that Kershaw will join the team this winter.
The 35-year-old pitcher is presently deliberating over his next course of action with his spouse, Ellen. Kershaw expressed his desire to win another World Series and expressed disappointment with the way his last playoff game ended. In addition, he spoke highly of Shohei Ohtani’s exceptional talent and the excitement he brings to the game when discussing the Dodgers’ acquisition of him.
Following surgery on November 3, Kershaw’s arm was slinged for three days. He feels confident about returning to pitching next summer and is currently working out to strengthen himself. Considering the situation, Kershaw said he feels great, even though he has never had surgery before.
