Jamal Murray Launches First $15M New Balance PE, Inspired by ‘Spin Cycle’ Movement

The Nuggets shooter is currently releasing a clean, limited edition version of the Two Wxy V3, having signed with the brand in 2021.

Shortly after signing the agreement in 2021, Murray said of Boardroom, “They were really trying to make it a partnership where I could input my ideas into different shoes and products.”

After completing the typical two-year development process, Murray’s first release is finally here. This week, a new colorway of the brand’s adaptable Two Wxy V3 sneaker will go on sale at select retailers and on NewBalance.com.

Murray’s “Spin Cycle” New Balances, which are modeled after his relentless and cunning barrage of spin maneuvers when attacking from the perimeter, have a washer setting button along the tongue as well as team royal and kelly green accents all around. Murray’s long-standing preference for his footwear is referenced in the design.

Murray stated, “I like something that’s simple and clean.” “I enjoy mixing and matching. I prefer to dress simply and in all white when we’re wearing it.

Murray’s first rookie contract, which he signed after being selected in the lottery of the 2016 NBA Draft, was scheduled to expire in the fall of 2020—shortly after his breakthrough performance as “Bubble Murray.”

In addition to helping him rise swiftly to the top of the NBA totem pole for the brand, New Balance stood out as a partner where he could get more involved with his player-exclusive game shoes and eventually have his own retail releases.

They gave me a sense of inclusion. “Take this shoe and go wear it” is not the message. I get to create whatever I want,” he continued.

Murray has been assisting in promoting the third Two Wxy model, which he has worn since the beginning of the series, throughout the entire season. He’s already noticed how the shoes have improved his attacking game as he works to become a more two-way player on the court.

Murray will likely give his newest New Balances even more wear in the near future as the Nuggets prepare to play the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Playoffs’ second round.
