On a romantic date, Vanessa Bryant is thinking about her late spouse.
The widow of legendary Los Angeles Lakers player Kobe Bryant reminisced on her time spent with her boyfriend on Instagram on Monday, sharing a charming picture taken 24 years ago.
She’s posing with Kobe, who passed away in a helicopter crash in 2020, along with the couple’s daughter Gianna, in the picture, with him putting one arm around her waist and her pressing against his chest. In the picture, Kobe and Vanessa are both beaming broadly.
In the caption of the shot, she mentioned that it was taken 24 years ago on this day, which also happened to be Kobe’s jersey number in the later stages of his legendary career: “24 years ago. Day 1. #1999 👑❤️ 11/27/99.”At ‘Lakers Night’ at Dodger Stadium, Natalia, the daughter of Vanessa and Kobe Bryant, pays tribute to her late father

The league mentioned that before Kobe passed away about four years ago, he was involved in the statue’s planning.
