Shohei Ohtani May Re-Sign With The Angels This Offseason, According to MLB Insider

The Los Angeles Angels, like everyone else, are eager to see where Shohei Ohtani signs during the offseason. After the Angels failed to convince him that they could have a winning squad, the two-way superstar is slated to leave the organization this winter.

Ohtani feels right at home with the Angels, which is one element that works in their favor. In essence, he follows his desires, and it’s possible that he won’t give it up.

He has plenty of suitors on the open market for his talents, but no one is really sure what he wants. Everyone is in the dark about him other than his desire to win because he doesn’t interact with the media too often.

According to an MLB insider, his comfort level could influence where he signs in the end, and the Angels could still be a destination for the two-way great.

“I believe he will prioritize ease of living,” MLB insider Jon Heyman stated. “I’m not ruling out the Angels, a return there.”

The Angels have been quietly excited about Ohtani’s return, despite the fact that everyone in baseball has assumed he will be departing. They are making every effort to keep him on board because they recognize the value he brings to the squad.

Though it’s unlikely, Ohtani is a unique free agent in comparison to others. Though his two-way skills make him a unique talent, his recovery from a ruptured UCL will limit him to batting exclusively next season.

Perhaps he signs a one-year contract with the Angels, deciding to stay with them while he recovers from his injuries. The next offseason, he might reenter the market prepared to take the mound once more.

Many possible outcomes exist; perhaps we will soon be able to determine where he is headed. There are a lot of other free-agent movements that are waiting for him to sign because he is the biggest show in baseball.
