Record-Setting Performance by Anthony Davis in Mavs-Lakers Game

The Los Angeles Lakers will play host to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night in California.

Anthony Davis advanced on the NBA scoring record during the game, cementing his place in NBA annals.

As of this evening, Davis’s career point total was 16,153, putting him in first place, surpassing Juwan Howard’s 16,159.

After Randy Smith (16,262), Davis will go on to the next player.

Before this game, Davis had played in 14 games, averaging 22.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 3.1 blocks per game on a field percentage of 54.6% and a three-point percentage of 30.0%.

The Lakers are currently riding a three-game winning streak and have a record of 9-6 through 15 games.

They just won 131–99 over the Utah Jazz.
