Jayson Tatum faces criticism after overtime loss to Hornets

Attempting to secure a win on the second night of a back-to-back is always a challenging feat, and for Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics, the recent defeat against the Charlotte Hornets proved to be particularly demoralizing.

The Hornets, entering the game with a four-game losing streak by an average margin of approximately 17 points, managed to capitalize on a critical moment in overtime.

During the extra period, the Celtics had an opportunity to tie the game at 119 when Jayson Tatum drew a foul from his former teammate, Gordon Hayward, on a three-point attempt. Tatum successfully made the first two free throws but experienced a stroke of misfortune as the third attempt circled the rim before bouncing out.

The Hornets secured the defensive rebound, ultimately sealing the game with two successful free throws from Hayward.

Following the disappointing turn of events, fans took to social media to criticize Jayson Tatum for what they perceived as a choke job in the crucial moments of the game.
