With a $103 million contract and the possibility of free agency, Kawhi Leonard can settle down just about anyplace. The Clippers player, who drives a Rolls Royce, dropped $17.1 million for a spectacular, conservatively constructed property on a peninsula in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, with stunning ocean views.
The 29-year-old man from Moreno Valley has obviously made large real estate purchases before. Leonard is still the proud owner of his 2019 $13.3 million Rancho Santa Fe mansion. He resides in a $6.7 million condo in the Ritz Carlton Residences at L.A. Live, a high-rise project that also houses Lonzo Ball, Jim Buss, and Jason Blum, and which overlooks the Staples Center.
The third residence Leonard has owned is a secluded, gated estate in the Westside.82 acres. The “custom Hamptons-style home” was constructed by Relativity Media’s founder, Ryan Kavanaugh. In February of 2019, Kavanaugh put his nearly 12,000 square foot mansion on the market for $25 million. Two years and several price reductions later, Leonard’s offer of $17.5 million was below the original asking price.
The gutters and trim on this house are copper, and the siding is a medium gray. Ocean and hillside panoramas may be seen from the hotel’s common areas. Coffered ceilings, folding glass doors, and a fireplace that can be enjoyed from either room.
The butler’s pantry is part of the big kitchen, which also features a breakfast bar with seating. The family room is decorated nearly entirely in white and features a second fireplace, as do many of the other rooms in the house. The main level features a formal dining room, a maid’s bedroom suite, and a steep stairway to the upstairs family chambers.
The master suite’s balcony may be accessed by two folding glass doors. There are two separate “couples” bathrooms, each with a big glass shower featuring a porthole-style window and numerous showerheads, and two separate walk-in closets.
