Udonis Haslem, former NBA star and icon with the Miami Heat, recently shocked NBA fans by playing basketball on a beach.

Haslem took to social media over the weekend to talk about his impromptu weekend excursion, during which he wanted to “Bust a Hustle” (street basketball) in Miami.

I decided to “Bust a Hustle,” as they say in the South, and play 21 at the park this past weekend. They let loose with a stern lecture on conduct. This is a no-go zone. Absolutely no fouls. Each to his own, as the saying goes. There are no restrictions and anything goes.The NBA legend introduced himself to the players and expressed his appreciation for being invited to play. At the end of his post, Haslem admitted without shame that this is retirement.Even as the NBA great settles into retirement, experiences like this serve as a reminder of his genuine enthusiasm for basketball outside of the competitive arena.
