Luka Doncic playfully calls out Kyrie Irving’s ‘BS’ following 35-Point performance

After a significant win against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Dallas Mavericks are showcasing their potential as contenders in the upcoming summer. However, individual performances still take the spotlight, with Luka Doncic playfully addressing Kyrie Irving’s fatigue claim.

Doncic, aware of Irving’s supposed exhaustion against the Zion Williamson-led Pelicans, humorously commented on Irving’s pre-game fatigue statement in a recent interview with Landon Thomas of Mavs Fan For Life.

“He said he was tired before the game. So that was, how do you say that, BS? So I don’t get fined,” Doncic quipped, questioning the legitimacy of Irving’s fatigue claim in a light-hearted manner.

Despite Irving’s alleged tiredness, he emerged as the top scorer of the game, contributing 35 points to secure the Mavericks’ victory. Irving displayed efficiency by making 13 of 20 shots, while Doncic added a 30-point performance of his own.

The duo showcased their playmaking abilities by combining for 16 assists, sharing the responsibilities of facilitating the offense. With Doncic also securing four rebounds and Irving adding six, the lethal all-around performance of the Mavericks’ backcourt proved too formidable for Zion Williamson and the Pelicans.
