This past weekend, Tom Cruise made an uncommon public appearance at a Los Angeles Dodgers game with his son.
The 59-year-old star of Mission Impossible was spotted in San Francisco on Saturday for Game 2 of the National League Division Series between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Connor Cruise is his 26-year-old son.
Tom stopped to snap pictures with fans while watching the game, and he was seen sitting next to Connor in the stands. While his youngster sported a black and white baseball cap and a black hoodie, the actor stayed warm in a blue jacket.
The father-son team was last seen in public in London in October 2019. Tom and Connor were spotted making their way to a private chopper at the time.
Before they divorced in 2001, Tom and his ex-wife Nicole Kidman adopted Connor and his sister Bella. Cruise and his ex-wife Katie Holmes also have a 15-year-old daughter named Suri.
Cruise’s two oldest children “are completely dedicated Scientologists just like Tom,” a PEOPLE source reported in 2019.
While keeping her kids out of the spotlight, Kidman, who does not follow Scientology, told the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 2018 that she loves and supports them.
“I’m very private about all that,” Kidman stated, as reported by Who Magazine. “I have to safeguard every one of those connections. I really believe that my children are the reason I am here, and I would sacrifice my life for them.”
Bella and Connor both maintain discreet lifestyles in spite of their well-known parents. While Connor was most recently residing in Clearwater, Florida, close to the Scientology headquarters, Bella and her spouse, Max Parker, reside in London.
Connor used to dabble in acting and DJing, but these days, he spends much of his time on Instagram deep-sea fishing and grilling.
In 2018, a source informed PEOPLE that Connor has a fairly straightforward life in Clearwater. “He resides in a Scientology community in his own house. Fishing in the deep sea is his life. He appears to be well-liked and has a large number of friends.”
