King James was criticized by the Lakers legend for eating too much

After LeBron completed his preseason appearance against the Warriors last Friday, he opted to change into casual attire and have a meal while seated on the bench.

This move provided some amusement to NBA fans, but it drew a different reaction from Lakers legend Michael Cooper.

Cooper expressed his disapproval on the latest episode of the Showtime with Coop podcast, stating, “I didn’t like that. I mean, he’s LeBron James, but even so, you have to show respect for the game, man. I don’t mind the guy eating, but he should go to the locker room to eat, and when he returns, be an active part of the team instead of just sitting at the end of the bench munching.”

While many NBA fans on social media were supportive of LeBron’s choice, Cooper held a different view.

“Let him eat; he’s been cooking for decades,” one fan commented.

Another user expressed, “I love him, he doesn’t care one bit. With four rings, a net worth over a billion, and living the good life.”

Of course, this situation provided an opportunity for some playful wordplay, with users suggesting humorous names like “LeSnack,” “LeMunch,” and “LeHungry,” among others.

Considering it was only a preseason game, and LeBron might have been hungry, he probably felt it was acceptable. Additionally, LeBron likely adheres to a strict routine when it comes to diet and exercise, so he might not have wanted to disrupt that while also wanting to support his teammates.

In the end, it’s simply the league’s all-time leading scorer ensuring he maintains his energy intake, and there’s no need to read too much into it!
