In response to allegations that his father, Tee Morant, is a “major driving force” behind the Grizzlies players’ concerning actions for the past 18 months, Ja Morant has defended his father
In a lengthy piece published on ESPN, an insider from the Memphis organization said that some of Morant’s failures were due to his father.
An outlet was informed by a Grizzlies insider that Tee has been a key motivator in all of this. He was never able to make it to the NBA, but this was his opportunity to live the life of a superstar. That has been an issue ever since.
The 24-year-old Morant appeared to address the allegations on social media.
On his Instagram account, Morant wrote, “Keep LIVIN the dream OG,” as the caption for a picture of the two of them. “You started this hoopin shii, I just carried it on.”

TM stands for his father’s initials, and MBNO stands for “My Brothers No Others,” the moniker Morant gave to his inner circle and buddy Davonte Pack’s apparel line.
The ESPN article went into great length on Tee’s enjoyment of his somewhat famous status ever since Ja was selected as the second overall pick in the 2019 draft.
He enjoys getting on camera during NBA games and throwing VIP parties at nightclubs.
And he doesn’t mind making a scene, as demonstrated by the arguments he had with TV commentator Shannon Sharpe during a Lakers game and the Pacers game.
Because he used a gun twice in separate incidents, Morant will serve a 25-game suspension to begin the season.
