In the world of basketball, Stephen Curry is renowned for his extraordinary three-point shooting skills, changing the game from above-the-rim action to long-range shooting.
Last season, this Golden State Warriors superstar broke the NBA’s all-time 3-point record, but now, he’s shifting his focus to children’s literature.
Curry is venturing into the realm of children’s books with his latest project, “I Have a Superpower,” featuring illustrations by Geneva Bowers. He hopes this endeavor will inspire the next generation of dreamers, leaders, and game-changers.
In a conversation with The Associated Press, Curry discussed his inspiration for the book, which partly stemmed from his own children’s love of reading.
“As a parent, you naturally think about your own kids when you’re involved in a project like this. But then you realize it’s an opportunity to reach children universally,” explained the four-time NBA champion and reigning Finals MVP.
In the conversation below, edited for clarity and conciseness, Curry talks about his goals for empowering children and shares his thoughts on the upcoming NBA season.
