Draymond Green explains the Warriors’ path to yet another championship

After missing out on the playoffs early the previous season, Draymond Green thinks the Warriors have a real chance to make amends

The four-time winner gave specifics about how he believes the Dubs can win another championship, but he also stated that each player must fulfill a single task in order for that to occur.

“I believe that everyone’s buy-in is the key to making it happen,” Green stated on Dubs Talk. We have all the necessary components, including the seasoned leadership and the necessary understanding and experience, if everyone is on board, which I have no doubt will happen.

“If everyone is on board, I believe we have all it will take to win a title. I used to take everyone’s acceptance for granted. Therefore, even though it doesn’t always appear that way, I believe that understanding it this year has made me appreciate people that do understand it more.

The Warriors’ on-court chemistry problems were evident the previous season and were caused by a preseason altercation between Green and Jordan Poole.

In the summer, Poole was traded for veteran Chris Paul, and the team also signed Rudy Gay and Cory Joseph.

Gary Payton II, the 2022 champion and fan favorite, was also invited back by the club.

Golden State seemed to have tried to bridge the gap between the younger players eager to establish themselves and the older, more seasoned guys.

“First of all, it’s a new team with new players,” stated Green. “You introduce fresh faces and vitality. But you got guys who are serious about winning. Furthermore, you must have a strong commitment to your team and what’s best for them in order to be devoted to winning. If not, you won’t succeed. We’ve brought on guys that are dedicated to the team and to winning, and that works.

Green is undoubtedly referring to CP3, who has stated that winning is all that matters to him and the Warriors.

Draymond recently stated that he wants to assist Chris Paul in winning his first title.

Thus, it appears that at least those two are in agreement.

The point god looked to mesh well with the small-ball lineup of the Dubs during their Lakers preseason game.

Perhaps an indication of things to come for Golden State.
