While the spotlight was on Bryce Harper’s performance against the Atlanta Braves, the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Boston Celtics in their second preseason game. The Sixers’ debut in front of their Wells Fargo Center fans ended with a 112-101 defeat.

The Sixers began their preseason campaign with a loss, but it wasn’t without its bright moments, largely courtesy of Tyrese Maxey and Jaden Springer. Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Furkan Korkmaz remained absent from the lineup, although there is hope they will make appearances later in the preseason, as mentioned by Nick Nurse.

De’Anthony Melton made his return, Danuel House Jr. was a late scratch, and Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown opted to sit out for Boston.
