Curry and LeBron think that Anthony Davis isn’t necessary for Olympics in 2024

Following the Golden State Warriors’ preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, an interaction between LeBron James and Stephen Curry has sparked rumors about the 2024 Olympics. A user on social media platform X speculated about the conversation between the two, suggesting that they were discussing the possibility of Anthony Davis joining Team USA for the event.

According to Twitter user @legendz_nba, James and Curry had a brief discussion about Team USA’s lineup for the 2024 Olympics. Reportedly, James was overheard saying, “You’re going to need a gold medal,” to which Curry humorously responded, “Nobody is going to stop us.”

Curry allegedly made a playful remark, suggesting that Team USA was already exceptionally skilled and didn’t require Davis’ assistance. While some fans took these statements at face value, others questioned the credibility of the information, speculating that the footage might not have been leaked but rather publicly shared content.

Regardless, witnessing NBA superstars like James and Curry enjoying themselves during a basketball game is always entertaining. In a previous episode of “The Shop” in April 2022, LeBron James expressed his desire to team up with Stephen Curry, naming him as the player he would most like to play alongside:

“In today’s game, there are some incredible talents, but Steph Curry… Steph Curry is the one I want to play with, without a doubt, in today’s game… I admire everything about that guy. He’s lethal. When he steps out of his car, you better start guarding him right from the moment he arrives at the arena… You might even want to guard him when he gets out of bed. I swear to God, he’s that good.”

Although current circumstances may make such a collaboration seem unlikely, the idea of LeBron James and Stephen Curry teaming up in the future continues to captivate the imaginations of many basketball fans.
