LeBron James made huge demands on Anthony Davis

Before the start of the 2023–2024 NBA season, which will take place this month, LeBron James gave an interview in which he discussed the reasons why he considers Anthony Davis to be the face of the organization for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Davis’s previous contract in Los Angeles had already two years left on it, and the extension extends the length of time he is obligated to play for the Lakers all the way until the end of the 2027/28 NBA season. Because of the extension, Davis will receive an additional £154million ($186m), bringing his total compensation to £223million ($270m) over the course of the next five years.

James responded to the question regarding Davis’ contract extension by saying that he was “extremely proud” and “very, very happy.” “It’s really nice to see him acquire that deal so that he can continue to be a part of his franchise for many, many years.

After this, James, Davis, and the rest of the Lakers will have a lot on their plates as they get ready for the start of the new NBA season. During the preseason, the Los Angeles Lakers will play games against the Brooklyn Nets, the Phoenix Suns, the Sacramento Kings, the Milwaukee Bucks, and they will play a pair of games versus the Golden State Warriors.
