Chris Paul Doing Uncommon Things At Practice

When the 2023–24 NBA season gets underway, it is going to take some time to get used to the idea of Chris Paul playing for the Golden State Warriors instead of the Houston Rockets.

It has been Paul’s goal for many years to win a championship, and given that Golden State is expected to compete for the title this season, this presents what appears to be his finest opportunity to do so.

The Warriors made the decision to take a chance on Paul when they dealt away Jordan Poole, thinking that the seasoned player could prove to be a more valuable asset during the postseason.

Despite the fact that Paul has never been to the NBA Finals, he has a significant amount of postseason experience, which makes him appear to be a dependable choice provided that he is able to avoid injury.

The fact that the future Hall of Famer does not have to exert as much control over the basketball game in Golden State is a significant advantage that should go a long way toward preserving him throughout the season.

According to C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle, Paul was able to show his admirers that he still has some bounce left in him even if he is approaching the end of his professional career.

One can see Paul going up for a slam off of a lob pass, and he is almost successful in making the basket.

Even though Paul’s finish wasn’t very amazing, the fact that he can even go that high at his age and with his injury history is nothing short of astounding.

Although there is virtually no chance that Paul will demonstrate his dunking abilities in an actual game this season, the fact that he is able to do so serves as a useful reminder that NBA athletes are just made differently.

Fortunately for the Warriors, they won’t be relying on Paul for any high-flying performances and instead will be drawing on his basketball IQ and savvy rather than counting on him to perform any high-flying acrobatics.
