After a quick trip to China, Thompson is now in Pacquiao’s native Philippines, where this respite has given him some much-needed downtime.

In the interview, Thompson stated that he was determined not to get sucked into the competitive NBA environment, but to enjoy the situation as it is.

They had a difficult regular season, battled hard against the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the playoffs, and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round.
