Veteran outfielder Jason Heyward, who signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers, was one of the team’s more significant offseason additions. For the Chicago Cubs, Heyward was a throwaway player who merely desired another opportunity to establish himself in the major leagues.

LA took a chance on him, and it turned out to be one of their best choices. To make the squad, he put in a ton of work during the summer and into spring training. Once on the club, he didn’t stop.

It’s fantastic to see that Heyward has demonstrated that he still has a ton of gas left in his tank. As a favorite of his teammates, he has shown unquantifiable leadership in this organization.

Catcher Will Smith remarked, “You see him every day coming in working, helping the younger guys out, his whole routine, how professional he is.” It has an effect on men.
